Sorry, but not worth much on today's market when my son brings them home because they are in the trash at some of his IT jobs. Sell it all for $l50.

Assuming you are selling just the tower without monitor You should be able to get around $500 for it. A quad with 4G of Ram will cost over $700 new. You don't say what hard drive and that can malke a difference.

My personal rule of thumb is max 50% new cost for used hardware from a reputable vendor even if "new", less if it was end-user assembled. Why not startoff with a value on the high side and see if you can find a sucker? You can always lower the price until folks stop laughing and then you know you've found fair market value. You can also look at newspaper classified ads to get an idea of the local market.

Yes, I did read the specs. I said in IT companies here, they go through them like candy. They are at the back door to be picked up by anybody. I am using one now refurbished by Chris for me and it didn't cost me a penny, except for a new flat screen, and remote keyboard and mouse.

QUADs?? Quad processors just hit the desktop market within the last year. I can't believe people are throwing out Quads.

JBRUSE disagrees: I've got a 160 sata hd and the 2 8800gt were like $140 a piece I was thinking like $800 but if you think only like 500 that sucks

First, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:

    https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/feedba...ure-24951.html

I just priced a desktop at HP.com with a faster Quad, 4G of RAM and a 750G HD at just over $1K

Its possible you might get closer to $800 on it, but not too much closer.
