pinnacle studio 9

i have mini dvds from a camcorder - DVD-R and i have "finalized" them. i want to play them through the pinnacle studio 9 software to edit, but my computer has a DVD+RW. Does this mean i am screwed because my computer has the "+" button instead of the "-" button?
