lost program

I recently downloaded Microsofts Flight Simulator. It was on three disks and took quite some time to d/l.

Now, I cannot find it, no icon, no listing anywhere. I know it is on there as it was a successful d/l. I've looked everywhere I know where to look which isn't saying much as I am not computer literate.

Can you help me find it? Thanks.

If you downloaded it that's pirated software and we have a policy against helping you make pirated software work....

Having said that are you sure the file you downloaded was really a game? It could have been a virus or nothing at all... or did it used to work?

bk39 disagrees: answerer was way off base.
ScottGem agrees: Noob balancer. It was a valid assumption

Sounds like you are taking him too literally. A lot of non-technical people use the term "download" in the place of "install".

Check Start > Programs. Look for a folder named Microsoft Flight Simluator or Microsoft.

Being a Microsoft game, it actually may be installed under the games folder in the start menu (same place you find solitaire, spades, etc).

bk39 agrees: This person understaod the situation. I did not d/l it, I installed it.

Perhaps... if they meant installed from a disc that would be different than downloaded from some website on the internet.

It would have been better to clarify this than simply post a comment that you dont agree with my answer. If this really is the case the answer above shows how to find it.

go to:

Start / Search / For Files or Folders, in the Search box type Microsoft Flight Simulator (if that was the name of the file itself)

a listing of the Location will appear.
