Everytime I install a screensaver, my laptop will turn off

Hi, I have an ACER laptop, I bought it 3 years ago and everytime I install a screensaver, after a while it will shut down automatically. What's the reason? Screensavers are suppose to save the PCs/laptops from heating and not turning them off. I don't know whether this makes sense but I have Kaspersky anti-virus, do you think its the anti-virus or a hidden virus which is making all this? How do I notice? Thanks.

Screensavers from outside Windows are one of the easiest way for a bad person to put a virus on a PC. I never understood the need to install an external screensaver versus using the ones already installed with Windows. Anyway, best to update your AV and do a full scan in Safe Mode.

Did you check the possibility whether the screensaver have a setting to shutdown the PC after a while?

I know, it's supposed to be a screensaver but just check!
