    lithograph value and signature
    I'm trying to help a family member ascertain the value of a lithograph.It is the same as one in the Smithsonian Institute.It was produced in 1866 by A. Hoen&Co. and is of Robert E. Lee's Farewell Address.It is in good condition for it's age and the colors on the flags are still there.It is in a very old frame that is also in very good condition.We are also wondering if the signature on these litho's would have been actually signed by Mr. Lee or if it is a copied signature. Any help would be appreciated and the website to the smithsonian is Lee's Farewell Address to the Army of Norther Virginia

    The first thing that I would try is the following kind of searches to see if there are similar items about which you are wanting to know information. Lithograph Robert E. Lee Hoen & Co. - Google Image Search and Lithograph Robert E. Lee eBay - Google Search

    When you do find similar items, then it's possible that there might be some prices listed on the links for the items that you will find that might give you some idea of the monetary value that your item might be worth.

    I would doubt that the signature on a lithograph such as this would be an original since it was probably mass-produced.
