Do you have the pattern number for the set?

I'm seeing lots of Noritake pieces selling at bizrate and ebay for between $5 and $20 per piece.

The keys to confirming what the whole set is worth will be based on a) the pattern number, and b) the condition of the set.

Based on what I've seen, the set could be worth a couple thousand dollars (US)... But that will depend on the condition and the pattern number.

That would be a good start.

Also be sure to check out bizrate, ebay and other websites that are selling the pieces and the set.

Sounds to me like your set is worth between $1000 and $2000, but the real value will be based on what someone is willing to pay for it today.
