    Domestic, treadle sewing machine
I just lost a family heirloom in a fire, unfortunately it was being stored in another location that burned down and I had never had it appraised. Now I am trying to recover value information on it for insurance purposes. It was an upright "Domestic"brand treadle sewing machine from the mid 1800's, fully covered in wood. It was in great shape except for a broken foot treadle. It had all of the original parts and bobbins, including the original manual. Can anyone tell me what it may have been worth? Thanks

I am sorry for your loss! I value the family heirlooms that I have very much and know how you feel!

If you click on the following searches, you might find some that look like and are also about as old as the one that you had and see what people are asking for them. The prices will probably vary widely.

Does the manual tell you what size needle that machine takes?
