Dont know what to do/Biochem

I have 3 A's in all the sciences at A-level, an am currently studying biochemistry. I really really dont like this course at all, and dont have the motivation to study for the exams that are coming up in 2 weeks.
Seems like im working for no reason; i dont know what career i want and i hate what im studying so its not exactly fun.
I want to find a career that i really want to do and work towards it by doing the right degree for it. That way i have a target to work towards.
I like sciences alot; more biology than chem or physics though. my maths is ok but not amazing. Im good at remembering alot, im good at problem solving type things as i have a very analytical mind. im good at noticing details.
Any career suggestions?
p.s would absolutely hate working all the time in an office environment

advice

well, it seems that the only person that can tell you what kind of career to get is yourself. i can suggest to you that you should go for what you said in your post...biology. if you like it and are good at it why not? there are so many areas out there to study. did you think about forensics? i am currently in that program and it is great. you can specialize in forensic toxicology, forensic biology, forensic whatever. until you find whats right for you, research online different areas until you are 100% certain. it took me 7 years to find out what i wanted to do. i got a degree in sociology and now i am back in school because now i really kow what i want. i am studying criminal justice and forensic science. i am going to be a crime scene investigator. let me know how you make out.

no silver bullet

hey, there are no silver bullets. Most careers, you'll have to slog through classes and jobs that you don't really enjoy. The most important thing is to have a long term goal, and see if each step makes sense in eventually getting to that goal.

Most people who take Biochem don't like it, but have to, because they want to become a doctor. Important thing for you is to try a lot of different stuff, and see what you really want to do the rest of your life!

If you're in your first years stick with it - it gets better. I know how you feel sometimes it can be really dull!

Even if you graduate with biochem doesn't mean you have to do it. With the skills you have you can go into loads of different areas.

Also have you thought of pharmacology or neuroscience I know a lot of biochem students who are switching, it's a little more applicable to life, less abstract.

Good luck
