You will have to apprentice for so many hours under a tattoo artist and you may have to attend seminars about disease control. You'll need to go to a tattoo shop, when they're not busy, and talk to them about apprenticing in their shop. You should bring some of your art work, if you have any. From there, they'll guide.

You should read into about the laws for your state and the requirements you must fulfill in order to be a tattoo artist.

Excellent advice. I'd give you a greenie if I could, sorry.

I definitely recommend the seminars, and there are actual body art classes in some cities/states that you can attend as well. I would also recommend taking some art classes at a local college.
