who can tell me whether i have an antique

I have a large leather bound book filled with New York Times articles dated January 14, 1936. Also I have an old round brown table with curly edges and a leaver that releases the top to fold down. On the bottom it shows (engraved) either 1914 or 1941 with no manufacturer shown.

I don't think the leather bound articles is worth much more than the leather binder, sorry, but if you sell it on ebay using some keywords from some of the titles you will probably get something for it.
The table probably isn't worth a fortune, but it's worth showing to a dealer. Call around locally and they might go to your house. Without a picture or knowing the wood used, it's impossible to say. Mass produced furniture actually started in the late 1800s, so even 1914 isn't very old.
