No, it's an unaccredited supplier of meaningless degrees. Look elsewhere.

It is not accredited with an agency approved by the US Dept of Education.
In most cases it would have little value. For the money there are cheaper non accredited degrees out there.

No, Almeda University degrees are not accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. However, it is not a degree mill by any means! You must be able to prove and document your experience and education well. You must have both experience and education to qualify.

Not everybody needs an accredited degree. Those wanting to actually qualify for graduate school entrance, med school, certain licenses and certifications, etc, need government accreditation.

Almeda University is for those with extensive background and experience in their field.

Take me, for instance. I am a medical science writer(although I write on a myriad of subjects) and my background is in healthcare. I began my career in nursing at 19. I'm now 42. I've obtained many certifications, not to mention experience over the years. I've formed non-profits, and developed theoretical models with the help of advisors. Almeda University awarded me a dual ba/ma in behavioral science.

It was a great way for me to pull all of my stuff together into a degree format.

This degree will not speak for you the way a traditional one will. It is a side event. Your experience and background speaks for itself in this case. It's simply a way for you to pull all of your certifications and other work together.

It's a diploma mill pure and simple. You may be requested to submit some type of documentation for the appearance of having it reviewed, but there is 100% acceptance, 100% graduation for anybody that submits their valid credit card.

If you doubt it, Google Colby Nolan, the cat who received an unaccredited degree.

An Almeda degree has no value in the workplace, and any organization doing a perfunctory check should discover it, but buyers of the degree rationalize their choice.

"No, Almeda University degrees are not accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. However, it is not a degree mill by any means! You must be able to prove and document your experience and education well. You must have both experience and education to qualify."
