    Aspartame-Crystal light
    Hello,

    I've been having a hard time drinking enough water in my day so I started to really like crystal light. I drink about 16oz of the stuff a day. I'm worried about the aspartame in it.
    Should I be?

    I responded to a similar post abut this a week or so ago... Aspartame is an ingrediant that is under great debate. Some will tell you that it is harmless, some will tell you it should be banned. I don't think anyone knows for certain what effects, if any, it has on the human body. I can tell you that I drink diet drinks daily, and have never had a side effect. I think in this case you will have to draw your own conclusions... you can read a little about it here.

    The only studies I saw that linked Aspartame with anything dangerous were such that the equivalent amount for a human to consume would have amounted to GALLONS of drinks daily.

    I've been drinking WAY more than 16 oz of diet soda daily for more that 5 years with no ill effect.
