under my arm i have a growth....about the size of a golf ball a bit larger.... went to clinic and got mamogram but didnt show so its just under my arm they didnt suggest any kind of dr. or referral of any kind.... maybe not having ins. didnt help with their volunteering info.....also i noticed the lump came after i was done having children and stopped nursing... but over years getting larger.... mid fifties now....dont know if age has anything to do with it... thanks for any input..dont know what to do if anything
I would advise that you go to your doctor as soon as possible. This can be a very serious situation.
It may be nothing more than a clogged sweat gland, but lymph nodes are under you arm and are not detected by a mamogram. There is a possibility that you could have an infection in the lymph nodes that require antibiotic treatment.
It could also be a number of causes which range from the very mild (clogged sweat gland) to the very serious (breast cancer).
Please go to the doctor as soon as possible. I myself am a breast cancer survivor and have looked into the subject in depth. Please have this checked out immediately.
