How long does it take to become an RN?

I have been looking into furthering my education to become an RN. I have researched it a little bit; but all the sites ask me if I want an associates, Bachelors, or Masters. What is needed to become an RN?

I know in Canada it takes 4 years to get your bachelors degree in nursing then you have to write and pass the CNA exam to become a fully licensed Registered nurse and to be able to practice nursing in Canada.
If you already have a degree then you can take a fast track course and be eligible to finish your nursing degree in 2 years. If you want a masters in nursing you will need to already have a bachelors degree and depending on the Masters program you are applying to you may need some praxis experience before they can enroll you in any advanced nursing programs.

Good luck.

You have to take all the pre- requ's, then get into a nursing pregram. An associates degree program takes between 15 and 18 months depending on summer breaks and stuff.

In the US, after prerequisites, the Associate Degree Nursing Program is a 2 year (4 semester) program.
