It won't connect?

hey everyone,

Iam running window xp for some reason almost every games i try to run doesn't connect and i tried to download and install the games again it still says the same not connect to the internet, however my internet works just fine i can download and surf internet. and also i try just to make sure i tried updating my InstallShield it just say you are not connected to internet. Iam not sure if its antivirus program that i run but i turn it all off and its still have it... this happen after i used XP Repair Pro 2007.. iam thinking i deleted something but dont know what. anybody can help me fix this problem

kind of lost of what you are saying,

You are on the internet and when you try to update something, it says you cannot connect to the network? is this right?

are you running an antivirus - what version of windows? have you checked your firewall settings?
