wireless is connected but browser does not work.

i recently got a wireless internet router and it worked for about 2 weeks. when i tried using the internet a couple of days ago, it would not connect so i changed the ip address and now it connects and my msn works but i cannot browse on firefox, google chrome or internet explorer. ive tried resetting my router with no luck. please help! thanks.
