Okay, first thing 's first: have you installed any new programs recently?

Do you have any programs on your computer that you may have installed for your work?

Do you have an anti-virus program on your computer that is up to date?

Are you the only person who uses this computer?

What version of Windows are you using? (i.e. Windows XP, 2000, Vista, etc.)

When you say "sign on", do you mean that you have just connected to The Internet, or are you referring to signing on to a specific program like AIM, MSN, ICQ, etc.?

Are you still able to connect to The Internet with the computer that you are referring to in your request?

Has anyone recently worked on, or fixed your computer?
