Unable to connect to a mapped drive

Hi - I've a small office system which consists of 4 PC connected peer to peer and 3 laptops which connect via a wireless conection. All the laptops have a mapped drive to one of the PC we treat as a 'server' it's just where all the files are kept. Last week one of the laptops stopped 'seeing' the mapped drive and reported it as disconnected. However the laptop is still 'seeing' the main PC as it is receiving emails from it so it must be connected. Any ideas?
Regards
Phill

Just a guess - Did the username of the user logged into the laptop change at all? The PC hard disk the laptop is trying to access may not give that username permission to access the drive.
Check the permissions for that drive on the PC and make sure it allows either all users or that specific user, depending on how you have your permissioning set up.

Is this OS Windows XP? If so, there is a time out period in which if you do not use that mapped drive in a certain amount of time(usually days) then it will show up as 'Disconnected' but should connect once you try to access it again.
