    Not receiving packets. Packets sent 0 received
    My wireles network set up and my signal is excellent but when I clkick on the connection computer in the right lower corner I see that I am not receiving any packets. My other lap top is working just fine

    Have a look at This post should give you some ideas to work on.
    I'd say it was to do with DNS setting or encryption.

    You didn't say whether it is actually working (can you surf or get email?) or if your mail concern is the system tray icon telling you it's not exchanging any packets. That little icon can refer to your WIRED network adapter, or your wireless one, or both.

    Click Start--> Settings --> Network connections, then choose your wireless card, then right-click it and choose properties. At the bottom it says Show Icon in notification area when connected so make sure there's a checkmark there if you want to use the system tray connection status icon.
