Networking as a career

Hello

I am a 34 year old civil engineer who has no formal education in computers . i am looking to start my career in network security and cyber forensics/ethical hacking. I have located a couple of programmes which i intend to take soon . i just like to know is it the right thing that i am doing am i too old to get into this line of work now. i dont know its just that i love working with computers and i am a bit sceptical. i would really like some advice or personal experiences.

Computer/network security is a hot item right now. Well trained and experienced people are needed. You aren't too old.

Ditto, ScottGem.

Never too old. I started tinkering with computers at a very young age and started making a living at it when I was 33. I am now 48+.

I did not even get my BS degree until I was 33. Again, never too late, never too old.
