Long time to find files

We have a 2 computer network setup here and it seems to take minutes to find files, we share a particular folder that we store all our job files on and everytime I try to access this folder (on the other computer where the files are located) the little flashlight comes up searching for the folder and it takes like a minute for the files to appear. How can I get this to happen faster, it's not like we have this major network and the server is in another room, it is 10 feet away.

How are they networked? Can you give us more details about the machines and how your network is setup?

it defend on your pc or other pc why your sharing folder is waiting so long before you can open. CuZ ...... slow because of low MEM seconnd connection is not good enough to handle the file like your server does...3rd huge file.... so in order to gain your acces just select the file that whats you need. or used a Zipped folder deliver your file in one to other pc
