AOL 9 Connection Problem

Hello All,
I was using AOL 9 3 weeks ago and when I went to load it as normal, a window came up with all of this >
"Aol will now install the files required for you to connect to the service".
Then a black windows appears with some text on the blue bar saying:
...... UrlUpd.exe
It then asks me to restart my computer to enable me to connect to the net,I do all of that then nothing happens....this is happening over and over with AOL 9.
I went into see if I could "Rebuild " the AOL Adapter...but I got a message window telling me that the AOL Adapter had already been Uninstalled?...I never uninstalled anything from AOL.
I did all the virus checks. But the problem remains.

I uninstalled my AOL 9 and installed AOL9 again from a disk and still the same thing happens.

I am getting online now using my old AOL 8 ....I have taken Screenshots of the messages I get with my problem,if anyone needs to see exactly what happens I will post them.
Thankyou if you can help me with this.
Mary:confused

AOL software is (in my opinion) crap and hard to diagnose. Your best bet will be to call AOL support, as they deal with these kind of issues on a daily basis.

I disagree that the AOL software is crap, but I do think your recourse is calling their tech support. You probably need to do a complete uninstall of AOL 9 to get out of that loop.
