would it be correct to research the effect of bullies on the misfit group and how the misfit group copes with the bullying? would this be a good topic for an anthropology research paper?

Yes if your research is on battles between two cave man tribes. One bully tribe and another odd ball tribe, no I think your research is more in line with human psychology.
