Tell me your opinions on this song, please...

I know of some guys that play it over and over when they are drinking... Many women think it's an awful song, and that only a loser would like it...

The guys seem to identify with the song as having a meaning that something they do... in their own way... makes them impressive to a woman... even if they don't even have a tractor...

So, if you have any opinions about it's meaning to you, I'd like to hear them!

I don't like that song, and I never will. I really don't care for much of anything that Kenny has recorded after his first 2 albums.

Thanks Puttuna! Now Your comparison has helped me understand the strong opinions of the song! Just like some people are proud of having a Redneck heritage... other people totally despise the idea and want nothing to do with it! I had to look up the term "Bogan" so you taught me something new!

I can now see why some people like the song as saying that they are just relaxed and happy with who they are... and would be glad to have someone like them for it...

Another word that is used in a similar way is Hillbilly.

Jeff Foxworthy has a lot of comedy skits called "you might be a redneck if..."

Larry the Cable guy... is another act that would fit into the Bogan term.

I only heard the song once (in a store a while back) and it made me chuckle. Now we have a two year old who, in the midst of a family of aircraft afficianodos, decided from a very early age that tractors are the coolest thing around. I have a whole new appreciation for tractors--and farmers.

Tractor is a substitution for other "gear" that is used when they take "one more teenie weeenie ride before I take her home" The words say that she has a dream and he asks what it is, she wants a little farm and a yard full of kids. What better way to achieve this dream than to "sit" up in the loft with the radio on, after the tractor has been put up for the night?
