Quartet - sing weather forecast

It would seem, approximately 20 years ago (this will truly test you now) a Quartet, like the Kings but not them, used to sing the weather forecast.

Another clue could be ';he tuned his radio into listen to music but all he got was 'Viking North Utsire, Cromarty, Forth, Tyne, Dogger etc.......
