Any music download site will require some sort of payment of course, or else it would be illegal, perhaps if you have a debit card instead, you can usually use them in this type of situation. Simply said, if you have a checking account, you can get a debit card that will usually work with most companies. I don't have a credit card, but I do have a debit card and I am signed up with all kinds of things, including Rhapsody music downloads.

    Good luck!

    Music downloads
I would be wary of using software such as Limewire,as it's peer 2 peer, and although you will get the mp3 you want, you don't know what other code comes with it.Yet there are legal sites on the web that give you freebies,as the idea is to keep you legal. What you do is up to you of course, but illegal downloads are not encouraged.

As suggested, look up free mp3 in a search engine,as you should get a lot of sites, but stay clear of file sharing as spending Sunday cleaning up your PC will be no fun at all. ;)

Hi jennyirish... sorry it took me so long to respond. You can't rate by clicking the orange "Rate this Answer" button? Perhaps you already rated my answer and didn't realize it (it won't let you do it twice).

You asked about replying without quoting... if you scroll allll the way down, you'll see a little box where you can enter text and it says "Answer this Question" with a button that says "Post Quick Answer."

I've recently found a site where you can download song for free without credit card. The only thing you need is an email and a Facebook account. First, go to http://us.dada.net/. After, you just have to log on facebook(There is an icon just in the right up corner). If you did log on correctly, your name should be written on the top of the page. Under your name it should be written 3 credits. That's 3 credits of a free trial, it means that you can download 3 songs. You can have unlimited free trials just by logging of when you downloaded your 3 songs and logging in with another Facebook account and naturally a different email. It's a little bit long if you want to download more than one or two albums but it's very simple and legal( at least I guess) ;)

P-S: It worked for me(I downloaded a 12 songs album), so I think it should work.

There is a lot of sites that you don't need a credit card. Skreemr.com, pillage.com, and beemp3.com are my favourites. I hope that helps :D
