I did all that first but hoped I would reach a fellow Gherson-owner who knew more than Google. I know it's a medium quality rare italian made guitar from 1977-8. Any more info is good and welcome.

I think this is a bit humourous. Clough gave you the link to the User Reviws - which is a very fine link - that link is the first link on the Google Search page I posted to you.
