| | | You can start it any way you want to. You must add you own flow to it. Maybe listening to different rappers might help you and then you can see the different flow each one has. | | | | Uber Member | |

| | | Hi, ti4lif3!
Yes, as mentioned above, listening to other rappers can help in order to give you examples to follow.
Rap is based on rhythm that goes to a certain beat. Is there a certain idea that you have for a rap song? If you post it here, I can help you to develop it so that it could be a rap.

| | | It's a lot like poetry. Also if you understand the mechanics of percussion that helps as well. It's all about the rhythm and 'cadence', if you know what I mean when I say that. I find some of the best hip-hop music is when they are able to rhyme and still stay within the subject. Hope this helps... | | | | New Member | |

| | | I'm not quite sure what you mean.
Are you trying to start rapping from scratch?
Well first things first, You'll try and fail, everyone does.
Then after a little while you'll learn how to rap in time with the beat
I think that's pretty much it because by the time you learn this, you'll also know how many words there are to rhyme together and how easy it is.
By this time its what words YOU CHOOSE to rhyme together that will make you stand out for your type of music.
You could be a comedy/funny rapper, real life/ eye opener rapper, thug/ gangster rapper,
Or you could just mix them together.
Now I can't really tell you much more because you weren't very specific with your question
If you give me more of an idea as to what part of rapping you need help with, I can help you a lot more. | | | | Junior Member

| | | First decide what the rap will be about with me, its normally being angry, shouting at people, declaring war that sort of stuff then I normally start by introducing maself, lyk by nickname or chosen rapper name, lyk I got my name from hollywood undead, not one of their names but it gave me an idea, then lyk talk about yaself, personal qualities etc, and progress into the story of the rap, so for me since I do it about war, that kind of stuff id say summit lyk " so here I come, with my crow and bat I'm Going to make shure to sort out you ******-******* **@ " and progress from there I guess , also helps if you figure out what type rapper you are, like I'm violent and angry that sort of stuff, and charlie scene from hollywood undead is more random for dance music etc
And before you start try and make a tempo for the rap, lyk fast or slow etc or hook up some beats of youtube for examples, peace | | | | Junior Member

| | | I think that to start a rap its pretty easy first think of what your going to rap about then just free style about the title about your song for example your school mates, family and then when you start free-styling you will get the hang of it and then when you have a good flow about the song and then get a pen and paper and start writing your lyrics and hopefully that song will be a HIT good luck | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | Add your answer here.
