| Hi, karyane!
What kind of music do you like to sing? Knowing that will help to answer your question better. |

Pay to call ScottGem for advice ($.75/min) | Please do not start multiple threads for the same question. How old are you? What experience do you have? What have you done so far?
Please reply in this thread. |

The above is from your other post concerning what you are asking about. I too, would like to know how old you are. |

| In case you might not know karyane, the page that we are on right now is a thread. Your other questions that you have asked about singing are two other different threads. |

| Yes, you need to stop asking the same question over and over, and answer some of the things we have asked here.
Your other two posts have been deleted
The problem is that the type of music you sing, the age you are, where you are at, can all make a difference, for example, if you do easy listening, gospel or county ormaybe blues, and someothers, you can go to nursing homes and sing for people with arrangemnetns, There are open mike nighits at very places but some are at places where you may have to be 18 to do. So we need to know abot more about you, to give you more specific advice. |

| And, just to add to and in support of the above, knowing things about you like, if you are in school or go to church can also aid in giving you good advice here.
Beginnings of a career in singing can happen in many different ways depending on your particular situation. |

| if you got a band with you start small, pubs and clubs, play you own songs and start to make a name for yourself locally. as soon as people start asking you to play a set rather than you having to blag it. build you portfolio, get references and go to a studio and record a cd. but one golden rule..... if you act like your the dogs and you know what your doing people will belive you, if people sense weakness they will take advantage of you, even if they're just small fish, they think they are the big time. |

Pay to call ScottGem for advice ($.75/min) | Well first you are kind of young to be worried about a career. Join your school's chorus, take music classes, try out for musicals and other performances. Check for local amateur productions. In other words, build your experience. |
