Help with limewire

Okay, so like when I downloa a song from limewire, it just brings up more advertisments through the windows media player and doesn't play the song

You probably tried d/ling a copyrighted song and got an ad instead.

There are songs on limewire that are just adds disguised. Try downloading a different file.

Check your file sizes. With limewire you really have to be careful of viruses. If you go to their forums you will find a list of the sizes of some of the virus files.
Personaly I would leave limewire alone -- emule is cleaner with less fake files
