Video file size.

Hey all!
I have a question about Video’s and file sizes that I couldn’t find a good answer to anywhere else on the internet.
SO, I’ve been traveling a bit the last year and I’ve recorded a lot of video photage on my DV camcorder. I’ve imported the DV to my computer (.mpg) and the files are about 4 gigs each. Now what I want to do is to convert each of them to about 700 MB in Divx format so that I can get all of them on ONE DVD. I have good video software (Magic Video converter and Powerdirector 7) but I don’t know how to get the files in 700 MB size. Can anyone help me with this?
I do NOT want to convert to WMV (which is a small format) neither do I want to convert the files to any other strange format. ONLY DIVX, now I know that it is possible to have 1.40h video in a 700MB Divx format. I don’t know how to achieve this. And I want to achieve this and still have good quality.

Well, how you get 700mb avi files is to use a program like Magic DVD Ripper to rip the dvd rom movie to avi format which usually will make the 700mb file

as the files are 4gb, do not think this is going to happen

To do what you are looking to do is convert your mpg files to avi format and then convert the avi files to DVD with the program below, you will need DL dvd discs because of the files size, but your not going to get 700mb avi files from 4gb files as avi and mpg files are approx the same size
