I guess I deleted something that I shouldn't have off my compter... now I have nooooooo sound. Its driving me crazy.. I've tried to fix it myself but I cantt.. ive looked at forums.. I went to a lot of websites to download the drivers.. I went to the device manager thing and I see the yellow question mark on multimedia audio controller.. ahhhhhhh I don't know how to check what brand my soundcard isss. I downloaded the Belarc Advisor.. and it told me I don't have a multimedia audio controller.. hahaaaaaaaaaa. But it didn't tell me how to fix it!

Have you simply tried Right-clicking on the yellow question mark, then where it says update driver,do so?
Windows,if your using that OS,should automatically update your driver files.

Belarc Adviser is good, but I recommend Everest Home Edition.Just either type the name in Google,or go to Major Geeks. The program is free, and will tell you everything that is in/on your PC,down to the last nut,and bolt.Well.nearly.

Belarc inventories your hardware by reading the system information for installed drivers. Since you somehow blew out that info, Belarc can't tell you what there. Don't know about Everest that Nez recommnded it may actually read info from the cards instead of system info. Worth a try.

If it doesn't work you may have to open the case to determine what motherboard or sound card (if it's a separate card) that you have. You may also have this info in the system specs that came with the PC. Depending on the make you might be able to find the info on the manufacturers website. For example, every Dell computer has a Service tag ID, if you plug that in at their website you get a list of all the components.

I tried updating the driver but I need a cd-rom or the location of the software/driever.. something like that.

So you don't think I can find the driver on like.. download.com or something like that?
