Capture module init failed. Ulead videostudeo

Noobie with video editing. When trying to capture video from canon elura 90 via hotwire to Computer running XP Pro I get 2 messages saying...Capture module initialization failed.
Capture manager initialization failed. 35gig spare on drive C, 1 gig Ram 450 spare space on drive F. Video adapter is Radeon x300 series, Radeon x300 series secondary.

an anyone suggest a cure? thanks moveemo. The editing program is Videostudio11 by ULead.
