Burner not Recognised

I have recently upgraded from MP 9 to MP 10 and the player says "no CD or DVD burner detected press F5 to refresh the player. I am using:
"LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-812S".
I have been told by the owner of the small retail shop where I purchased the drive that it would not recognise the media Player 10 but I can`t see why could someone please help.
Steve
