playing mp3s on my dvd player

have an rca dvd player and using easy cd creator 4 to burn mps on a cd why wont they play on my dvd player

Your dvd may not support MP3 format disks. If it does, be sure that you have 'closed' or 'finalized' your disk before playing. If this does not remedy the issue, try burning at lower speed. Your computer may not be able to keep up with the data speed if it is older or running low on memory. If nothing helps, you may have defective cds, a defective burner, or defective dvd player and should contact the company of the product.

I agree with FTA. One other thing which he forgot to point out is that, not only does your DVD player need to support MP3s, but it also needs to support CD-R (or CD-RW if you use them). If it doesn't say, there might be some kinds of CD-Rs that will work from different companies. Chances are, if your DVD player was bought within the past year, it will support it. RCA is pretty good with keeping up with technology.
