A lot of people from my school are telling me that there is a way to get stuff from YouTube on my Ipod nano.

Is this legal?

I don't know if or how to get it on your ipod but now you can download the video to your computer with the download button at the top right of the video. If it is legal to do that I don't see why it would be illegal to put it onto your ipod.
It is definitely illegal to making recording and sell. For own personal use some things seem more lax while others still are not

Some videos have an embed license. Those are illegal to download but all of the others should be fine, as long as they are for personal use ONLY.

if there is an icon for downloading the video than it probably isn't illegal. otherwise the icon wouln't even be there.
