What new movie is this?

I have seen a preview for a newer movie, outthis year I believe, and I can't remember what the title is. The movie is about some sort of alien sea creature or something. The preview shows a couple of boys looking down into the water (ocean) when they find some sort of egg. They take it home and put it into their aquarium, the Mom later asks "what happened to all of the fish?" This is all I remember. Thanks for any help.
