I remember random details abotu this film..but i have never been able to figure it out..

Me and my friend both remember parts of the movie, like..I think near the beginning, some sort of electric bat/alien thing jumps down onto a baseball player guy

At some point in the movie, a kid brings home some..electric slug or a chunk of something in a jar and sets it on the counter and it magnetically sucks itself onto the fridge and shatters the jar

There was a part where some thing was crawling under a sheet..

and the one other major thing i remember was a giant electric creature in a power plant or something..and they had turned on the transformers to try and overload it and its mouth opened sideways or something. I can NOT for the life of me remember any other details about this movie and i cannot figure out where to look to find the name...PLEASE HEL{!
