What movie has a curly headed little girl who is spoilt and has to live with her dad?

A young girl has to move in with her father as something happened to her mother (cant remember what happened to her) the father and the daughter haven't met before. The daughter has long brown curly hair and acts spoilt and at first hates her father.
Theres one line throughout the movie where she is walking down stairs and says "get out of my way" to a lady. That lady told her not to speak to her like that, so the daughter said that line in different emotions (crying, angry,nice).
In the middle of the movie the little girl is dancing and singing. She had a kids colouful microphone and tape player.
Towards the end of the movie the daughter had to do a comercial and had to make herself cry for it. She was told to think of something sad so she thought of something to do with her dad, I think it was him dying, not too sure. So the little girl ended up like her father.

Thats all I can think of. Please help me find this movie! I've been looking for years!
