What is this movie???

There was a movie in the late 80s or early 90s, not sure.

It was an animated movie though I'm not sure if it was specifically for kids.

The setup was underground while the seasons change (maybe just once throughout the movie, like spring to summer)

Underground there's a big factory-ish setup that has a lot of colours that mix and go here and there to provide (I assume) for the changes of colours for seasons.

Sorry, not a lot of information, but it's driving me nuts!

I tried so many searches on Youtube or google with words like ''movie, color, 80s, underground'' but to no avail.
