Statue that turns into a real woman!

This is also one of those old monies I vaguely remember from my childhood. It’s actually a very old black and white movie, which we once borrowed from my grandfather b4 he passed away, so I am thinking probably a 50ies movie (or so it seemed). Anyway, all I remember is a white statue of a female roman goddess, maybe from white marble, that transforms into an actual woman in the flesh. It was so magical but in a romantic elegant way, not in an action sci-fi movie way. It reminds me a bit of the 80ies movie “Mannequin” which you might better recall. It’s a bit the same concept I think. They probably copied it from this earlier version. I really don’t remember much so if you know anything similar please tell me about it… just that statue , and I think it was located in a luxurious or spacious place, and maybe there were flying drapes or curtains in one of the scenes (I think), and of course a man involved in some way. I fear that my next problem after you have identified it is how I will manage to locate a copy!
