ok there was this movie i saw like 10 years ago and i dont remember much but it was about some ppl on a treasure hunt and they keep finding clues in some famouse guys (davinci i think) art/sculptures, eventually they make it to some pyramid and they put these gold disks into some thing and some planets start spinning and thats all i remeber...sorry bad detail

This is only going to be an outside chance, since it wasn't a pyramid, and the items weren't discs, and it was a comedy, but sometimes we can cross our memories, especially with movies...

Hudson Hawk (1991)

They find 3 golden crystal type pieces inside DaVinci's works, put them all together, put it in this huge machine which is in a castle. The machine is really old, from DaVinci time. Then the whole thin starts up as the crystal type bits focus energy and basically bits of the machine start spinning around the room both directions.
