Partly clay Children's movie title!

I remember watching this movie when I was really young and LOVED it! I watched it all the time, but it had to have been made in the early nineties or late eighties or something because I know if I had still had it later on in the last half of gradeschool I would have remembered the title with the rest of my old favorites.
I don't remember /that/ much of it except some random facts:

- It was about a young boy who did something bad or was a liar or something like that.
- He finds or is given some sort of fantasy board game that uses batteries.
- He gets sucked into it and becomes clay. Most of the movie is in clay animation.
- He ends up going through a bunch of obsticles to get to the top of a mountain or over it or something. Like I remember a chess board looking thing I think, and these fat marshmellow looking creatures that were like white and pink and talked freakishly slow like they were high. And at one point he finds this fast futuristic looking car thing and crashes into a tree... and there's this talking card or something. And he ends up getting to the mountain and getting back out of the board game and learns whatever lesson it was he was supposed to learn. It was pretty weird.

Yeah that's all I can remember. Can't for the life of me think of the title though. If anybody knows I'd really appreciate it!

I found this list of films on Wikipedia but don't think the film you're talking about is on there:
List of stop-motion films - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I also found another forum looking for the same movie (I think) and thought you might want to keep an eye on it there as well: Need movie title from 80s! [Archive] - Movie, TV & DVD Forums

Maybe it might help you stir some memories. They mention a lot of the things you hit on plus having dodo birds and perhaps a Christian element. I've been obsessively trying to find this film but with no luck.
