old sci fi movie from the 80's

hi, i once watched a sci fi film as a younger man, i cannot remember the tittle please can any one help me. the film was about a young man who got into trouble and was killed by a group of lads. the young guy was sent back and killed the lads one by one with the help of a really cooland very fast car that raced the other guys in there car and the car would just speed off and vanish then return as the other car would turn the bend or something and the car would hit the futuristic car and they would die. i think it was a motorbike at some point in the film to and at points in the film the guy would try to tell his brother and his old girlfriend who it was that killed him. im not sure but the guys name could hace been jason or something like that. it was such a cool film in its day and would love to see it again.

Definitely sounds like "The Wraith" with Charlie Sheen
