Movie with a planet with no sunshine

There was a movie I used to watch when I was little, but I think it was made in the 80s. In it, all these school children live on another planet, where the sun never shines. It rains all the time and they have to stand in front of the UV lights everyday. One girl remembers living on Earth though, and the sun. One day the sun is supposed to come out, but a boy locks the girl in a room so that she misses it. We used to watch it all the time in school, but I can't remember the title for the life of me.

I remember watching this one.
I think it was a Twilight Zone episode.

I believe the story you are referring to, was not a twilight zone episode, but rather a PBS Wonderworks special. I remember it too.

It is called All Summer In a Day. And it first aired in 1982. It was based on a short story by Ray Bradbury.

Here is the IMDB link:

All Summer in a Day (1982) (TV)

That movie made me cry. We watched it in school after reading the short story.
