Help me find the name of an old science fiction movie.

Looking for the name of a science fiction movie I saw as a kid. Late 70s or 80s, about a house at night visited by aliens. One of them is robotish. I remember one scene where the robot one is shot and what looks like streamers/ribbons shoot from his chest. Any ideas?
