i have small memories of a movie i used 2 watch as a child, can anyone name it?

So there's this movie i used to watch as a child.. mind you that was only about 10 years ago! its about a dragon of some sort i think? its not a cartoon movie though!

The dragon is huge and can fly and talk! he meets a little boy/girl and they get through adventures together! there is a mention of a book, they have to protect it or something? and there is also an evil side to it, i know im not full of much information but if you could help please?

i also remembr there being a large gushing waterfall showed frequently throughout the movie!

How about the Neverending Story? There are several sequels to that film, too.

I think it too. It's the Neverending story. But a weird thing is It wasn't a dragon. It was more a White Dog that flies.

Actually It is a dragon. His name's Falkor and he's a luck dragon. (I named my Maltese poodle after him)
