I haven't seen Goblet of Fire yet, but I have read all 6 books, and so far, Goblet of Fire was my favorite. I've also enjoyed the 3 previous movies. However, I'm a bit nervous about seeing Goblet of Fire, because all my friends who are fans of the books say it sucks. Apparently it diverts from the book sooo much, certain really important parts are eliminated, and worst of all, Dumbledore acts really nasty and out of character when compared to the book.

But I'm still going to go see the movie, probably this weekend, and then I'll judge for myself. Btw you should read the books! They are excellent.

The Goblet of Fire was by far the best movie so far. Way, way better than the other three combined. I haven't read the books yet either, but considering the movie by itself and not considering what was left out from the book or whatever, the movie was fantastic, really matured the whole story. The special effects, character development, dialogue, story, and acting were all far superior to the other films.

When Harry Potter came out a few years ago I had no desire to read the books or see the films especially since The Lord of The Rings films was just getting released. I remember my older brother and his wife made me watch Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone on DVD a few weeks after I had seen One of the Lord Of The Rings movies in theatre (Two Towers I think), and I hated Harry Potter when I saw it then, mainly because I was so impressed with The Two Towers that Harry Potter just seemed lame, bad story, no action, weaker effects. After seeing the trailer for Goblet of Fire I became interested in seeing it and decided to rent out the previous three films to catch up. They actually weren't that bad (must have been the whole not living up to my Lord of The Rings expectations originally) and I was looking forward to seeing this new installment. The Goblet of Fire really is impressive and worth seeing. Can't wait for them to make the rest of the movies.

Well I saw Goblet of Fire today and I thought it was awesome!! I'll probably see it a second time next weekend.

Still think you guys should read the books though... there is a lot of character development not present in the movies.
