Funny movie with monster things

It was a movie where a guy is forced to stay with a strange family when his car breaks down. With 2 blob monster things & their father forces the guy to marry his daughter. He escapes on a roller coaster & I remember parts being in a junk yard. I know its very vague but any help will do
