okay so i have this movie and ive watched it a lot and i have a few questions i still dont understand.....was the phantom a virgin? i was just wandering and also how is madame giry not dead before christine even though she was much older then christine and RAul?

lol i would imagine that the phantom is a virging because he's been living in the basement of a theatre for most of his life. and as far as madame giry still being alive; i think at the time it was normal for women to have children very young. one of the other charecters who was friends with christine was her daughter. so its possible that she may have not been that much older than christine. it would be entirely plausable for her to live longer. maybe not to still be walking while raul is in a wheel chair, but thats probably just for dramatic effect in the movie.

oohh okay i thought he was because he said his face has denied him the joy of the flesh and i would imagine he was talkin about that. and yea i was like how is she walkin around and hes in a wheel chair? haha...but that was really sad about her not choosing the phantom but i understand because she would of had to live in the darkness and having him snap off on her many times about his face...but it was sad because all he wanted was love =-[ and i wondered how the phantom wasn't dead yet because christine was much younger then him and he was still a live at the end as it assumes because of the rose.
